Toxic Tours
Our Toxic Tours are the best way to hear directly from community members about the People’s Port Authority and our fight for accountability in the Port. Come down to the CROWS landing and be be immersed in the sites, sounds and smells of the Port of Providence as we walk along the waterfront. You will learn about the history of the Port of Providence and its polluting and extractive industries, see key sights up close, and hear about the everyday realities of environmental racism in Providence. Tours end with ample time for questions and for learning about how to join the fight!
We frequently give tours to community groups, non-profits and schools. Occasionally we host tours open to the public, which we announce on our Instagram page. We use a sliding scale for tour fees, and cost depends on the size and your group’s funding.

“The Toxic Tour was really eye opening. I drive by the Port almost every day, but I didn’t know the port’s history and I had not heard the wrenching stories of how neighbors have fought for their health. I learned a lot, and I left inspired by the strength of our community and with new ways I could get involved.”
